Hendersonville

Perched in Sumner County, Hendersonville has a population of roughly 55,000 making it the largest city in the county. Hendersonville is well regarded for being home to countless musicians, especially that of country music. Some of these artists include Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift.

Hendersonville was first popular for being a trading center that focused on the production of tobacco and trade of livestock including horses and cattle when it was first settled in 1790. Later on in the mid 1900’s, the Hickory Dam had been constructed and the area began to develop and attract those seeking recreation. In the present day, Hendersonville has continued to flourish and has become the most populous suburb of Nashville in Sumner county.
